As You know, we have sued Facebook. Last Week, we had a reply and they have engaged a top Law Firm in Queensland, to defend them. I have bad news for them, they won’t be allowed a Lawyer 🙂

Their initial defense is that we have sued the wrong Party, we should have sued Meta and not Facebook. We will argue that of course but either way, we are lodging an interlocutory to ‘Amend the Claim’ and to include both of them 🙂 I have to do a Stat Dec of the argument, tomorrow when the JP’s are available. To be continued……..

Some of the Training issues of the Week….and their Lessons!

Lot’s of thought stimulation this Week, all coming from issues that Clients, Pupils and others have experienced and thought is one of the most contributing factors to the ultimate Horse Training systems. There is NOTHING you cannot fix or achieve!

Equestrian Coach convicted of Horse Cruelty

Very sad to see this ex World Cup Show Jumper and Coach in Court this Week, for cruelty to one of his Horses.

If I may comment, only on the training side of things. Of course there is zero logic, zero training outcome other than the negative, in hitting Horses over the Head, especially with a riding Helmut. The Horse has no clue what that is about or what it means.

Massive Paranoia erupts in ‘Green Horse’

A Horse that we had started in 2025, had a very frightening experience when a well meaning no horsie Dad, threw his Kid on the Young Horse, bareback and with no bridle or saddle, thinking that it would follow him up to the feeding spot, as he always was, but instead, the Horse took off with the Kid, dislodging it near the top of the Hill and experiencing resultant Mental issues going forward, such that it now puts the Owner (who has been successfully riding the horse) at huge risk (compounded by the particular Breed which is one of those that are highly susceptible to such fears and imaginations)

Mrs. HP attended, with some of my Gear, this Week and using ‘Leg Restraints’ to Mount the Horse, got away with it to the point where the Owner could then be put on and walked and trotted, so big ‘phew’ from Mrs. Hp and no doubt the Owner.

Such mistakes can completely end a career and the immediate loss of all financial investment that has been put in. Well done all!

Stanly….cont’d

The MOST effective training for the ‘Green Horse’ takes place ‘On the Trail’, contrary to what many miss out out. In the case of Stanly, FORWARDNESS was everything, so he could lose his mental problem about losing his Trot.

The Trail gives constant markers as reasons for doing things where the Arena is a mindless Circle with no beginning and no end of a journey and nothing to focus on in between. (Which is why you are asking for trouble riding ‘Green Horses’ on an Arena. Anyhow, on we went, Paddocks, Beaches, Road and more, prior to hand back to the Boss, where the rest will be History.

So the has has regained his Trot, is as ‘Bold as Brass’, happy, content, true Partner and ready to go……Mrs. HP to the Forests and Beach next Week.

A client has a lovely one but has never had a Warmblood before. Sure enough, a few Weeks down the track, he is showing signs of insult, which is why anyone who rides one must know this:

• They demand LEADERSHIP
• They expect ASSERTIVENESS
• They do not SUFFER FOOLS
• They can’t handle WEAKNESS
• They hate BOREDOM
• They are ARROGANT
• and demand that You earn RESPECT

THE GOLDEN GROVE CODE AMENDMENT

We finally wore down the corrupt Gov, Council and others, in the fight of a life time. We win. The Minister finally signed the re-zoning of the entire District around Gainsborough, so it’s all mega. However,

Overview

The Golden Grove Master Planned (Stage 2) Code Amendment has now been finalised, altered and adopted by the Minister for Planning.

The Code Amendment forms part of a two staged rezoning for a master planned development at Golden Grove, that collectively rezones around 104 hectares of land:

·         Golden Grove Neighbourhood (Stage 1) Code Amendment

·         Golden Grove Master Planned (Stage 2) Code Amendment.

The Stage 2 Code Amendment by YAS Property & Development rezones land from Rural Living to Master Planned Neighbourhood and a portion to Employment.

Both Code Amendments are expected to provide for 850 dwellings, contributing to housing supply within the locality with a policies and measures, including a landscaped earth mound and acoustic treatments via a Land Management Agreements applying to manage new housing next to Golden Grove quarry activities. The Stage Two Code Amendment includes land zoned for future employment.

The rezonings and master planned approach allow for a mix of lot sizes and dwelling types, which will be supported by an open space network, pedestrian and cycling links and upgraded road connections as represented on two new Concept Plans applying to the rezoned land. Also, the Urban Tree Canopy Overlay applies Master Planned Neighbourhood Zone to promote increased tree canopy.

Road and stormwater infrastructure deeds between land owners and the City of Tea Tree Gully will assist in the coordinated delivery key infrastructure.

HOWEVER……..

back in August 2023, we had been invited to a ‘Question & Answer session at the Local Councils Officers, along with the other 19 Land Owners. We took the 2 hour drive for we knew little about what was going ton. To our surprise, when we got there, the Council Planner was sitting in amongst us all and the meeting was being run by the Developer, despite us having been also invited to a meeting at the Developers Office, the Day after and we had made accommodation arrangements over Night.

Well…..we started asking some straight questions but one of them was not liked by the Developer, who lost his cool and even came across the Room from his desk and stood over me in a threatening manner. He then kicked Linda and I, out of the Cities Building and as we left, yelled “You will never get a cent out of me!!!!!” He cancelled out Contract immediately after.

Roll on to 12th Feb, 2026 and although approved, nothing can be done, because we are not in Contract and yet our property is the ‘Site Address’ and the central location of all……..the Main Roundabout for the entire Suburb of 850 Homes, Main Water line and more…….but……they can’t do a thing without our property!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the other Equestrian Centres have been zones ‘Employment Zone’ and we strongly suspect that the Golden Grove Uniting Church is going to have some opposition soon, with Loud Speakers welcoming the partitioners to Sunday Mass Anyhow, the Horses are still safe and welcome 🙂

Our Solar

The Electrician had installed a Manuel shut off switch, so we could turn off the Distributor, to test fully, our new solar, for a few Months, before getting rid of them altogether.
We waited a Month for SA Power Networks (owned in Hong Kong) had to wire it up. They never came. Phone calls, hand balls, ring your supplier, we did, ring Power Networks, we did, ring the supplier, they hung up and here am, just arrived with half a cow to be packed and frozen. No Power. The Solar system still had not been configured right.

So I went Online and cancelled Lumo. An hour Later, SA Power Networks came alright but he did not wire up the shut off switch, he put a PADLOCK on our Main Power Switch and big warning signs.
So here we are with Half a Cow and no Power Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr………”Where’s the bloody Bolt Cutters and I did, I cut their Padlock off and turned the Power back on, otherwise, $5,000 lost retail price of meat.

So now it’s Tuesday and have the Solar working but it shuts off each couple of hours, so a fault in the settings. They have become too smart for their own Big Tec!!! Turn the Power back on the Board, then turn off, Solar comes back on for a couple of hours

We are awaiting the raging SA Power Networks arrival and they are in for a shock if they get half smart 🙂

UPDATE

Problem solved. It was a technical glitch with a second set of panels being rejected by the settings. They have got too smart for their own good. Tech out of control!

LETTER OF THE DAY

Hi, I just wanted to ask some questions about your wind sucking collar, as it got recommended on a post on Facebook.
Can the horse wear it all the time? Or do you need to take it off when they’re eating/drinking? 
First time owning a wind sucker so not sure if you keep them on all the time or not

HI Tammy,

All the time is fine for when horse puts head down to eat or drink, their neck contracts in size and it loosens. It only tightens if they arch to have a crack or think about the gulp.

You should also consider why. One of the main causes (apart from stress in the Racing Industry or copying other horses (which they do) is SAND IN THE GUT.

We have been running as usual and Mrs. HP has actually become too busy and is struggling to do the right thing by everyone. She has taught all Day, twice this Week, in the Southern Vales and of course riding 4 horses and much more. She is a legend!!

COST OF LIVING

Friday, I drove to Adelaide, to pick up Half a Cow so we are prepped for the next year and more. Saved $1000 on Grocery Bills. On that subject, I really must recommend a new Shop in Victor Harbor, in the old IGA Building and I must thank them for their respect to the Town, with a giant mural of the Victor Harbor Clydesdales on the outside front Wall…..anyhow, the point is that if you are struggling with the cost of living, shoot down to this wonderful new Shop and save yourself a squillion. I made the years supply of Pubmpkin Soup this Week, half price to the big Supermarkets and those prices are repeated, right across the Store. Lovely Indian Family (I know, I asked)

We are still embroiled in the Corruption fight and have probably triggered the current investigation into the Peoples Bank and the threat of a $500,000,000 fine for ‘Money Laundering’ and possible ‘Terror Finance’. We also note with much interest, that the Minister of Consumer Affairs has been axed and she is married to a recent high profile Lawyer we used, regarding Folks from just off the Coast of a place that fires rockets at I s r a e l now and again. Hubby volunteered to assist us, on a fishing expedition There is trouble inside Gov right now!

EXTREME LEARNED HELPLESSNESS

So here is his only option if asked to Trot. Bucking. He thinks Buck 4 times before the attempt

So Day 1 on the re-education of his psychological problems which are making him Buck. He simply cannot get his head around Trotting, any more.

So the first thing that I need to do, is to find a way to get on Him, so I worked on re-mouthing him and tying up, during which time he put me in Flinders Hospital for a Night (where they put me in a storage area over Night, despite having full cover) because he ripped my right thumb off when a half hitch accidently flew through the air when he pulled back and ripped all the flesh off my thumb.

Now, because of his complete ruined Body, he couldn’t Canter a 20 metre Circle and yet he could ‘walk to canter’ on a dime. Linda tried but he kept going to crash through the bottom long side fence and down 30 feet of Granite Island Rocks, so I devised a system whereby I hooked a long rope onto a rope Halter, under his Bridle and stood in the Centre of the Arena, hooked onto my Roping Horse. My brave Wife trusted me yet again and did Canter Him, on the 20 metre Circle, and in one session, his brain was turned around and his belief in himself commenced to grow Now for the massive Job of rehab on this ruined Horse that failed the Vet check.

Question of the Week (from a Trainer)

“I have been working on this young for 4 Days and it just keeps fighting me with the request for Lateral Give of the Mouth. I even got the Vet out to do the Teeth. What do You think? “

That doesn’t happen unless there is a Veterinary or Psychological reason and is something that I would have stopped doing at the commencement of the second Day. The Horse is communicating and of course, we lust LISTEN. My opinion will be either Teeth Damage at the rear of the Jaw, lacerations or other and/or Chiropractic, out in the poll/Guttural Pouch and so on.

So put a Gag on the Horse and with a true search light, examine every square millimeter. Vet’s tranquilize so that covers reaction and many miss things as well. Let’s know.

and further on that subject, on the subject of Horse starting advice, on Friday, whilst at Gainsborough, I commenced teaching my Brother in Law how to start a Horse. Poor Boy, his Wife (Linda’s Sister) is back into Horses after having 4 Kids. Anyhow, she has leapt back into it quick, is running Gainsborough and has already got 3 horses, one just off the track and an unbroken one as well 🙂 I had to test and rate the Mouth of the OTTB which has had 5 Trials but too slow. Lucky Girl indeed.

Anyhow, in testing the Mouths of Race Horses, I rate them out of 10 and have only ever met one 4 or below. I didn’t bother checking the front Mouth of this one after testing the Lateral Mouth, for it didn’t have one So they are onto the job, got the gear, the DVD’s and sending Vids to us already Today. Great job Wendy and Jye.

Hi Folks. Hope You all had a wonderful Week and learnt a few new things. I did. Open Mind, Common sense and Lateral Thinking will see you right in this dangerous World we live in now.
Been very busy as usual, watching the C.F.S. Website on the hot Days and not straying too far from Home so we can man the Fire Fighting Unit and generate 3 fire Pumps we have to protect the whole place.

Remember, it is the Gutters that burn most People!!!!!

Tip of the Week

SIDE CLIPS

Never used them and never will. In my opionion, they were invented to save Farriers having to come back for a shoe that fell off. I have never had one of those. If you want your front hooves looking like the back hooves, allow side clips to be put on the front :(

A Veterinary Miracle!!

I am so proud of my wonderful Wife! I rate Her as one of the best on the Planet and when it comes to Veterinary Rehabilitation under Saddle, there can be no better and noone with more experience in this area.

THE STORY OF STANLY

I am going to run this story over the next few Weeks as it is way too big to handle in one Blog and far too educational but to start with, he was written off as a totally unsound Riding Horse by one of the State’s top Vet’s, Doctor Todd from the Morphetville Equine Centre, having done a full Vet check on him.

He broke his Shoulder when a Yearling and didn’t see a Vet 🙁

As well, he had the following conditions and more:

• 100kg under weight
• De-generated Muscle Mass
• Did not know how to eat, what Lucerne was and much more
• Fence Walker
• Didn’t tie up and put me in Hospital with a ripped off thumb
• One of the worst cases of ‘Learned Helplessness’ I have seen, whereby he had completely lost his trot and if asked, he would Buck and could only therefore, go walk to Canter.
• and much more…….

So Tonight, we shall just show You a few things. and continue the story over the next fee Weeks.

and 2 Years Work got him from 17 16.3 TO 19.1 Hands High….

However, he had the worst case of “Learned Helplessness, that I have ever witnessed. His Owner in Qld, had started Him with my help but couldn’t sit his movement, especially the trot, so she taught him a trot like a Western pleasure Horse and that triggered so much frustration, that totally lost the gait called the trot and if asked, he would go walk to canter and attempt to Buck. (Listen to your Horses) We were sent a Video (which I didn’t closely check due to trust) and later found that it had been cut 3 times in one Circle!!

So we put him onto our Running Reins system for 6 Months and re-education for not tying up, eating and Bucking.

 Appols for the Hubby overly trying to protect his Wife and Wife being a naughty Pupil 🙂 Here Life was on the line here!!!!!! and Wifie forgot who was the Coach here 🙂 YOU DO NOT NEED AN OUTSIDE REIN ON A BREAKER!!!!!!!

Next Week, continued, I removed the outside from the Bridle and after that successful ride, she handballed me the Horse for 3 Weeks

The Pupils keep staring!

We won champion! Won a gift voucher for $50, carrots for Peppa & some polo wraps. 1.2 wow we had a wonderful test with 74.1%. Absolutely beautiful…..the 1.3 was rather tense in places but so were all the horses in that arena. Very uneven surface of dead grass! She warmed up for both tests like she had been doing it for ever. Thanks so much for your help. We are on our way💋
