  Hi Folks, how are You all. I hope well. Warming up. You know we are on the verge of WW3, don’t You, Thank God You Yanks voted the way You did. However, this delay in swearing in the new President, is a disaster, as they bring in their shredding Trucks, cover all their illegal activities and start WW3. They fired a US Storm Shadow Missile into Russia (which had to be supported by the US Military because of Codes and Satellite navigation and Putin is furious. Now, the 2 biggest Traitors on the Planet, Starmer and Macron are in talks to send Troops to Ukraine. Well, at least that will be the last War and bye bye them.

The most obvious observations are that:  

• Lovely Horse
• Lovely Temperament
• Great movement
• Lovely Owner and lucky Horse to have Her.
• Now staying on the outside track where before he could not!!
• understanding the requests of the running reins……but

  THE ANSWER is that watch as he goes around, when he periodically looks for relief from round….BUT……notice also the subtle FLEXING OFF, also for relief. The relief is because his Body is only just mending as it turns around. You try it? Thus proving yet again, that these Horses are all ‘Upsidedown’ and ‘insideout’ when they leave the Track and that the fashion of just jumping on them and so called ‘putting their Head down’  borders on Cruelty. The Thoroughbreds and the Trotters, all suffer the same. Now this is why there are statistics that 100% of Racehorses that leave the Track, have Ulcers. I wonder how many are treated. Vet School

We are experiencing an increased incidence of mis-diagnosis and a worrying lack of ‘Horsemanship’ that is negatively impacting upon Horses. They do not have the ‘Horsemanship’ or ‘Reading’ of the Horse, that many of the ‘Old School Vets’ have. Speaking of which, here is our Vet (and no I’m not going to name Him for I don’t want you all trying to pinch Him 🙂   Preg Testing in the middle of a 5 acre paddock, with a lead Rope lying on the Ground.

The Neighbor

Mrs. HP had a Holden Kingswood, he went and purchased one, she sold the Kingswood and purchased a Toyota Corolla, he sold his Kingswood and purchased the same colouor Toyota Corrolla. Meanwhile, within his Stables, there were two Horses that I had sold to People. One had Acid poured down it’s back and the other was stabbed through the side of the lips. The Horses in the next Paddock belonged to well known Eventing People, the Dad who had been sued by the ‘Neighbor’ for dumping a load of clean fill (which the Neighbour had given permission to do). He was having Horses Tails cut off during the hours of darkness. Later, the Dad, was dfound Hanging and Dead ☹ Meanwhile, a few Miles away, I had purchased 100 acres for Mrs. HP Family years prior, because there were 5 Daughters and the Mum and Dad were ‘Battlers’. Spoilt Mrs. Hp already  HAD 2 Horses agisted in Stables on Yatala Vale Road and no way were they going to be able to cope with all the rest 😊 During the stalking of the ‘Neighbor’ Mrs. HP’s Family sold their 100 acres and it was purchased by ‘unknown’ Then one Night, on the Nightly News, there was the House, with the Police there, where a Drug Crop had been raided. Meanwhile, the Neighbors to that Farm now, were getting all sorts of Drama from who ever lived there. One Old Lady, started complaining to the Authorities and another. The latter had a Hay Shed floor Concrete Poured ond Day and the following Morning, one of their Horses was found tied up in the Concrete, which had set. The ‘Lil Old Lady’ was later found HANGED in a Tree!!!!!!!!!! During that time, one my Apprentices was at a Party one Night and we ordered a Pitzer from the local, who delivered it. We got talking about the 100 acres antics and he knew all about it. He was explaining that who ever owned it, would ride a push bike down to Adelaide, with a full face Motor Bike Helmet on his Head…..and then my Apprentice, shocked, declared that he ahd seen that Dud, several times, riding down One Tree Hill Road and INTO THE NEIGHBORS Property. You think that’s all do You????……we haven’t finished yet with the Deaths!!!!!!! To be continued.  

Blast from the Past

  “His name was Dave Bishop and he lived in Yankalilla. He was an Old Derro and because we had a ‘Single Men’s Camp’ at Normanville (the place that Bart Cummings starting his Career, he started to drop in quite regularly, to get on the plonk after our work. He would always tell us that he was a Member of the ‘Light Horse’ but as he didn’t have a Horse, he could never join in. We felt quite sorry for Him. So, we decided to fit out a big Ol Percheron that we had, named ‘Bojangles’ and get him going good enough under Saddle, that Old Dave could mount up and ride with the ‘Light Horse’ at the Yankallilla Show 😊 It turned out to be one of the funniest things I have ever see😊 Yep, he must have been in the Light Horse, for on the Day of the Show, he turned up with his uniform and Medals and sure enough, the ‘Light Horse’ People allowed Old Dave to Lead the parade. Now they were in the ‘Grand Parade’ at half time of the Show and indeed, the ‘Light Horse’ were to Lead it. So that Grand Parade as you now, has Tractors, Hay Balers, Cows, Bulls, Pony Clubbers and God knows what else in it. It was massive. So we got Him up on a Cattle loading Race and managed to get Him on Bojangles and away they went, with Old Dave out the front about 5 Metres. Well!!!! He must have been so proud that he just went plodding around the whole Oval in front of all the Cars BUT NEVER bothered to look back to see how the Troop was going. Around they went. When he reached the end of the 1^st Lap, ‘Bugger me Dead’ the Grand Parade entrants were still entering and by this time, Old Dave was about 50 metres in front of his Troup, so he took the split between Grand Parade entrants and ended up with the Troop having to stop whilst the remainder of the Parade got onto the Oval 😊 Hell we were rolling on the Ground in laughter, for he ended up 200 metres in from of his Troop and still had no idea he had done so hahahahaha. One of the funniest things I have ever seen. ROLL ON 2023. I GOT A Phone call from a Sergeant of Police in North Queensland to ask did I know a bloke called ‘Dave Bishop’. The memories came flooding back but then the second question was, “do you own a 410 Shotgun???? I relayed to Him that I used to but I had no idea what had happened to it. “Well he has just died up here and we found Your Shotgun, in his possessions!!!! The Old Bustud I said, “did you find a set of emasculators for gelding Horses as well?” but he hadn’t. So I was shocked when the Sergeant then said that he would send the Gun down to my local Gun Shop when I asked Him how is it to be sent and he replied “Australia Post’ hahahaha. Sure enough a Week later, there it was, in pristine condition, at the Gun Shop and it was handed back to me. Great Gun and it has dispatched many Rabbits in my Rose Garden since. 😊 So there You go, the ‘Old Bugga’ had accepted our over the top friendship and stolen our possessions. ☹

Life’s Tip of the Day

Question – Running Reins system

ANSWER

In essence Marita, any horse that is going to be asked to do the ‘English Discipline”, ie, put the head down etc, SHOULD NOT be  ridden at all, for at least 8 weeks of work, to turn around their bodies and prepare them to carry a human and act like a brain surgeon. So 6-8 weeks, 5-6 times a day, prepared but then when in ridden training, they should still be lunged a couple of times a week, make it easier on the human and break things up for the horse, as well as continually tweaking the lightness as well as Muscle building. ok? regards

Farrier Damage

I was asked to assist this Horse during the Week, showing lameness on turns at the Dressage. I removed the shoes and did some work on his Hooves and happily, the Horse is telling Folks that he is feeling a bit better.

The Criminals at oodle have bankrupted Millions of small businesses around the World, by their Mafia Stand over tactics, akin to a ‘Protection Racket” If You don’t pay them thousands a Month, you simply won’t be found on the Net. Because the load weight 4200kg and the F Truck isn’t 4 wheel drive, I cannot tow in the Rain for we can get trapped half way up a Hill, but it was dry on Wednesday……..yea right…..I got half way up the steepest Hill, the last Drag before turning into our Road and there was the Council Water Truck, washing the entire Road to get rid of Mud that they had spread everywhere as they tried to make the Billy Goat Track look better. OMG!!!!! Thanks God I had just enough momentum but almost had to hit their Truck which was in the Middle of the Road, but we made it. I didn’t fancy sliding backwards down the road, jack knifing.   Big Week for the F Truck. New Seasons Hay has arrived and I saw them in the Paddock Baling and drove in 🙂

• The reason could be, that despite the many subtle but strong efforts to get the horse to be ‘Round’ the Rider cannot achieve such and the Horse is ‘Above the Bit’ throughout.

Therefore, the advice is that if a Buyer is a Dressage Rider and an Amateur (which they almost always will be for a Professional wouldn’t buy this Horse due to Age), is this. If the Professional cannot have the Horse travelling ‘supple’ and ‘over the back’, the Amateur has no hope. Further, Horses that are ‘behind the Leg’ when we attempt to ride Dressage style, it is often that it can be uncomfortable for them to do such, which is why you see the constant tweeking and head up and down. They need relief regularly. However, these Horses are completely suitable for Show Jumping or PC, when they are NEVER round. Well done to all.

Blast from the Past

She arrived at Gainsborough, never owned a Horse and didn’t know what a Bale of Hay was. Funded by the N.D.I.S. for Mental reasons. She had ear phones in 24/7. Nice Lass. W drove in the Gate and she had purchased Her Horse. A 3 Year Old, from Australia’s most Crooked Horse Dealer from up Port August Way. A big flash Truck was parked in our front Carpark and they were unloading a Pally, that WASN’T TIED UP. It had been run in there the Night before, because it was total Ferral. 3 Year Old.

What do we do now? Turns out the Horse was a Yearling. I got a bit of a handle on the horse one day, with a spare half an hour and I was trying to give Her advice on leading, feeding and so on. I said to Her….

“You seem to be listening to your ear phones????”….to which she replied……”I am listening to my advise, he is an Indian Chief from the States and he is talking to me” ……..more next Week 🙂

Stunning Revelations in Massive Robert Koch Institute Leak

Adelaide Hills Council  – ‘the friends of the fire bugs’

I must say, each Year for they never change, that the Councils throughout the Hills, from Victor Harbor to Gawler, are all wasting hundreds of thousands of your hard earned $$$, by completely wasting thousands of litres of Roundup, on a failed ‘Fire Prevention’ activity, which is indeed, akin to them being the worst ‘Fire Bugs’ out there. Each Year, 2 Months before one could successfully light a road side fire, they come along and spray ’roundup’ in a failed belief that this is ‘Bush Fire Readiness’ 🙂 If it wasn’t so idiotic, it could be humorous, but it is certainly not. It gets worse……. Rather than spraying PRIOR to the Weeds going to Seed and getting a metre high, (which is the only way to do it – see my verge) they wait until they are fully mature, to ensure next Year will be a bumper crop, ready for the next fire disaster and in partnership with the ‘Fire Bugs’ Here we have the Adelaide Hills Council, this Year.       and then they have the cheek to waste more of your money and lecture You on Fire prevention 🙂     So they are not qualified to be telling You what to do Folks. Ignore them!  

Bush Fire Tip of the Day

The vast majority of the Homes that get burnt to the ground with the owners losing everything 🙁 falls into 2 categories.

1. Trees to close to Homes – easy, cut them down
2. Gutters not cleaned.

The Fire Authorities are presently ramping up their fear campaign and reducing most to ‘Sheeples’ where You just get in your Car and ‘run like a dog’. Run where?…..well of course, to the controlled ‘assembly area’ hahahaha, where they can continue to ensure you don’t grow an independent Brain. Hell, don’t drive to another area and have Coffee and  Cake 🙂  

GUTTERS

The vase majority of burnt Homes, are simply caused by a burning leaf, floating through the Air and landing in your Gutter, thus setting the dry matter on fire and your House burns down. ‘City Folk’ are brainwashed, that GUTTER GUARDS are the savior when indeed,

“Gutter Guards are Fire Hazards and have no benefit at all”  

They don’t work. They just gather and build up your next fire lighter, ready for the burning leaf and then…….provide a greater ignition source, for many are made of Plastic lol. You can’t make this stuff up 🙂

• You can’t kick a ‘Breaker’. It knows not what you do.

• Don’t land on the back of a “Breaker’ unless You want bucking. Sneak on quietly.
• Don’t swing Your Legs around unless You want Bucking.
• Don’t rip the Girth up ever and don’t girth up whilst a Rider is on board.

So fearful, confused Horse that can never learn what ‘Partnership of True Unity is”

  Hi Folks. Hope You are all safe and well. Extremely busy Week again. Spent the Day on the Bobcat, pasture managing at Gainsborough, top dressing paddocks with the years composted manure and sand whilst Mrs. HP and Her Mum, Sister and Father in Law, raked 5 acres of leaves and burnt them on the spot 🙂      

Racing Industry Negligence

Back on the urgent Horse Training again Today. One Yearling is lame, due to hooves not being able to be done due to zero such training (the common theme in the Racing Industry) Racing Welfare gone wrong. So let’s just I was a ‘purist’ and only follow one form of Horse Training. I go along Today with my 7 Games Kit and think I am going to be able to pick up the back hooves of Horses that have no idea what you want, (one that is Cow kicking due to having been treated for a cut, previously (learnt because of no preparation) So urgent, urgent. 2 hours, that’s it. Thank God for https://horseproblems.com.au/product-category/saddlery-shop-by-horseproblems/leg-restraints-training-equipment/ 30 different benefits and never even hair off across thousands of Horses!….but….hundreds of Horses lives saved!

TODAY

  Due to the incompetence of the Junior Vet from Mt. Barker (not Her fault but the University system of these days) “The more you learn the less You know” the young Colt  that had failed to be gelded, was given a permanent Mental condition and Hell learned evasions, to the inability of the Vet to know how to handle unbroken Horses last time. The Colt was a most difficult proposition to be able to inject and whilst quickly moving through the various tools of “Leg Restraints Training” and the Horse evading and beating them, I had to continually and progressively “Up the anti’ to get enough control to overcome the fear, to successfully get the Colt Gelded. Our thanks to one of the best Vet’s in the State, who drove 500k to come and assist. (I won’t name Him, for we don’t want Him more busy 🙂 Anyhow, we won and all ended completely successfully which was wonderful.     Of course, the feet had never been done and couldn’t be done of course but we were very happy to have achieved that too, on the second session here Today.   Congratulations to the Owners, for the wonderful facilities and the great condition and care of the Horses.   My thanks to the lovely Strapper 🙂 who was getting along famously with the other Dude.

I remember buying the Property (where Bart Cummings started) and where his 1st Melbourne Cup winner broke Pharlaps record. I re-named it ‘Comic Court Lodge’  and Yes, Comic Courts Mum and Dad are buried there, in a one grave, where they both fell with their Legs holding onto each other, when simultaneously shot due to old age. It is a shame the Council never did anything about remembering the times.

Letter of the Day – Vet behavior

 

  ” I wrote to you last while sitting and waiting at the vet hospital I was beside myself in worry😞 My mare Mara has a nephrosplenic entrapment meaning a displaced colon . 1 month before she was due I sent her to veterinary clinic for foaling down thinking that was the safest option, filly was born 27th September. Mara did very well 5min text book birth, filly was a little down in the bumpers so I was advised they needed to be boxed for a while in this time they decided to up the mares grain I’m told to keep them fuller longer 😩the mare started having hard poos (just keep in mind I explained mare has a sensitive stomach and change would upset her I was always very careful with feeding making sure she had hay nets 24/7 they did not listen🥲) They were in a box for 4 weeks mare colicked I suspect and went down unclear what they did because story has changed a few times this happened the 2 days I couldn’t be there as I work and it’s 1hour from my house. Week 4 they were put in a paddock mare was not eating very depressed so I took it upon myself to take them out for walks and things started to get better she brightened right up every time I would leave she would go back to being depressed even though I had asked them not feed grain they told me it was necessary as the filly was now nibbling from the bucket . The mare was eating on and off and then I got a call to take the to the vet hospital, now while there for 3 days my poor girls were bright and starving mare was muzzled and eating saw dust though the muzzle and little foal was too , it was explained to me the colon was displaced and the procedure for this was to administer a drug to shrink the organs and immediately then lunge them I was not allowed to stay and watch any of this . This procedure was done twice in hopes of flipping the colon back into position, this was unsuccessful. On the third day I insisted to go in and be with them and I started asking questions I was told they were lunged for 20min on concrete! Yes the foal at foot following mum on concrete!!! They then told me they were going to give it another go ! Of course I said no and asked why we can’t use the arena ! It was out of pure laziness! We did try it again 3rd time on grass which I stayed for it was unsuccessful and plain stupid I should have just taken them home 🥲 any way sorry for long story . The mare and foal were taken back to vet clinic agistment and put back in paddock with advice to find a foster mum to the filly and euthanize my mare 💔 I stayed with them for a few hours that night and Mare and filly were bright and happy mare was so hungry I did not give her feed that night as I was worried it would make uncomfortable and the paddock had a little bit of grass. I spent the day with them yesterday and Mare and foal still happy mare is eating and foal is feeding of her . I hung up hay net and gave a very small meal of mash they were fine ! Meanwhile the vet at the agistment clinic has told me she has had a foal die overnight and we should euthanize my mare and take the my 4 week old foal to the foster mum 😞😞as she sees this as an opportunity. I however can not kill my mare while she is eating happy and feeding her foal , on the other hand if my mare has another bout of colic that only $15,000 surgery can fix my foal needs a mum . The pressure to do this from the vet is full on , I’m on my way there to check on them this morning and praying the mare is still ok and that by some miracle she has flipped the colon back herself my gut tells me she is not ready to go just yet❤️ Conclusion I do not trust any of them the vets are like the drs through Covid !!! Indoctrinated cannot think outside the box all about drugs nothing about nutrition and the gut ! Thanks for listening I will update you later ❤️❤️ Regards Hopeful Pam Ps I forgot to mention the argument I had about giving my mare a salmonella vaccine 1 month before her birth 😫😫I did not !!! “

Terrible ordeal Pam. I am so sorry to read this. For my interest, I will run this by a seasoned Vet who I am cooking Dinner for soon and see what their opinion may be. You did everything you could and more. Don’t be down on yourself 🙁
